  1. Join fellow horror film buffs at Rhode Island’s premier event, the 15th annual Flickers: RI International Horror Film Festival. The daytime Psychic Fair and Paranormal Expo will allow guests to dress in their favorite costume and experience psychic readings, healings, and presentations. Once the sun goes down, the Witches Masquerade Ball begins. A silent auction will be held—proceeds go to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource. Guests bring their own sleeping bags and pillows and get to spend the night in the Zoo’s Education Center where they learn all about the creepy crawly creatures associated with Halloween. Take a journey into the past as you enter the Old Washington County Jail in Kingston, RI, built in 1792 and reconstructed in 1858, where guests will learn about the notorious criminals that once called it home.
