Ok, so tell us about what makes you eligible?

I’ve been able to take some time to work on myself. I’m in a great place in my life and I’m ready to share it with the right person.

What are your interests/hobbies/quirks?
I love Music! I start every morning singing and dancing while I get ready for work. It wakes me up and get my day started on a positive note.

Being a make-up artist is a big part of my life. I love being inspired to create beautiful make up looks, try new things and teach new techniques and trends to my clients.

I’m really big on manners. Use them! They’re free.

What would people be surprised to know about you?
I attended two different elementary schools, two different middle schools and three different high schools in three different states so I’m really good at being the new kid. I met a couple of my closest friends on my first day at a new school.

What are you looking for in an ideal mate? What about an ideal first date?
An ideal mate would be honest, loyal, passionate, driven and have a great sense of humor. Tall and handsome wouldn’t hurt either. I love to have a good time. A great date is more about the company for me. As long as there is great conversation and lots of laughs. I can have fun just about anywhere.

What's your perfect weekend? Where can we find you in your downtime?
This time of year I spend a lot of time cooking with friends and family, seeing movies or out having dinner and cocktails. I’m a big fan of live music, theater and travel. Any combination of those things would make for a perfect weekend.

Let's talk about dating in Providence. What's your take on the singles scene here?
I don’t feel like I’m on the scene. I go out with friends but it’s very rare that I meet other eligible singles that way. Maybe I need to get on some kind of email list… Until I figure that out I’m going to keep working on being the best version of me possible and hope that the universe puts my future partner in crime in my path.

Every single one of your married friends has probably recommended online dating. Have you tried it? How do you feel about matchmaking sites? Tinder?
I have tried on line dating. It was VERY interesting. People are extremely creative with their profiles. Apparently, honesty is not a requirement on dating sites. It was a complete turnoff.

Do you have any really funny dating stories?
I went on a date that went wrong from the beginning. This guy clearly used the “beer goggles” filter on his profile photo. I didn’t even recognize him at the restaurant. After we were seated he began to explain how he developed his fetish for black women and proceeded to ask me if we could hold hands because if our fingers intertwined it would create “zebra stripes”. Needless to say there was no second date.

Another dating disaster included a gentleman that was a chef at a nice restaurant in Providence. I really appreciated his flexibility when we were trying to plan our first date. He told me he was on vacation so he could make any day work. Our first date went pretty well so I was pleased when he asked to see me again. The second date was fun and convenient for me because he was still on vacation. I thought that seemed strange but not unheard of. I mean, I get four weeks of vacation time. Why wouldn’t you take two weeks at a time, right? Maybe I should do the same next year. Another week went by and he was still on vacation. I found that odd, but kept our plans for another date. This time I had to pick him up because he had car troubles. After a few drinks my filter thinned just enough to ask him about his extended vacation status and lack of automobile. Turns out he didn’t have a job. He used to work at a restaurant but was asked not to return and was currently unemployed. The trouble with the car was that his mom said no. I dropped him off at home and politely declined his offer for another date.

Anything else you'd like people to know?
I would like for people to know me. The real me. Not the person they perceive me to be based on superficial notions.
