From September 14 through 18, the ballroom at the Providence G belongs to StyleWeek Northeast. Returning for their annual fall fashion show, this celebration of bold new styles and will feature designers veteran and emerging talents in the world of fashion design putting their best work on display.

“Once again it’s fifty-fifty [between] veterans and newcomers,” says Rosanna Ortiz, StyleWeek’s founder and CEO. “Susan Zemaitis is showing her debut line, Evolue on Tuesday. She has been in the fashion industry for quite some time and is finally breaking out her collection. Jeffrey Dickerson, a Rhode Island native educated in Boston will be debuting his line as well. His technical skill is breathtaking. And Chaz Aracil who just graduated from RISD will be showcasing his collection on opening night. The attendees are going to be blown away.”

In all, fifteen designers will be showing their work on the runway, which for the first time will be located in the Providence G.

“The new location offers an aesthetic that StyleWeek has been chasing after for quite some time, more Parisian with an intimate feel where each of our attendees feels like a VIP,” says Rosanna. Of that VIP treatment, guests can expect the works; complimentary valet parking, a full bar during each evening’s cocktail hour. There will also be an accessories showcase that will be open to the public regardless of whether or not you purchased a ticket for the runway shows.

“I have always said that StyleWeek is a fashion week for everyone and they will surely see and feel that this season.”

For herself, Rosanna is excited to see what the designers bring to the table. “They work months and months on their collections and it always makes me emotional when I see them come down the runway after their show with a huge smile on their face.”

StyleWeek begins on Monday, September 14 with the Accessory Showcase and cocktail hour at 82 Weybosset Street, Providence at 5:30. Runway shows start at 7:15 at the Ballroom at Providence G. The same scheduling continues throughout the week. For a complete schedule of designer and check-in information, visit styleweeknortheast.com.
