Eat Well for a Good Cause this April

Dining Out For Life proves the way to the heart is through the stomach

Posted

Scrumptious food generally brings joy to stomachs, heads and hearts alike, but when dining on delicious dishes also benefits a good cause, that joy can extend to countless others for a very different reason. This year marks Rhode Island’s 10th annual Dining Out For Life event, a day where participating restaurants donate a portion of patron’s checks to benefit AIDS Project RI.

“It’s a great and caring way to celebrate the spring season,” says Thomas Bertrand, MPH, AIDS Project Rhode Island’s executive director. “Step out on a Thursday night for dinner with friends and family, help people living with HIV and AIDS and help Rhode Island achieve zero transmission of HIV.”

Numerous restaurants across the state are taking part this year...
