Dr. Steven Kane to discuss Artie Shaw, Helen Forrest and Frank Sinatra

Wingate Residences on the East Side will welcome Dr. Steven Kane for a tribute to Artie Shaw, Helen Forrest and Frank Sinatra on Friday, Jan. 5 at 2 p.m. Known as the “voice of the Big Bands,” Kane will discuss Forrest’s work with bandleader Artie Shaw, while also presenting on Sinatra’s album covering songs by Sammy Cahn. Dr. Kane is a psychotherapist and part-time professor of anthropology at the University of Rhode Island. This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited.
