East Vs. West

I Heart Providence stages a cross-city culinary smackdown

Posted

Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday! Catch the intense mayhem of a monster chef rally as culinary artists from both the East and West Side meet to compete for cooking supremacy. On February 5, for the first time ever, I Heart Providence: East vs West determines which side of the city tastes better, and the public is invited to watch the culinary smackdown for free. The battle lines are drawn. From the West Side, we have Mike McHugh of Julian's, James Mark of north, and Jonathan Dille of The Grange, a new Broadway project from the folks behind Garden Grille. Not to be intimidated by such a formidable lineup, the East Side will answer with Cook & Brown Public House's Nemo Bolin, the Duck & Bunny's and Vanity's Paul Jalaf. While the chefs smash ingredients, you can snack on complimentary food and enjoy live music by such bands as Bored With Four and MissWensday Timebomb. Show up early and show up hungry. Check out the event on Facebook to learn more.
