Better With Age

Posted

When the first issue of Providence Monthly came out twenty years ago in 1997, it was the first of its kind. The city was on its way to becoming a great city, yet it didn’t even have a namesake magazine. Providence Monthly became the first (and to this day, only!) magazine for Providence. Bigger and different than any other print publication on the market, our signature size set us apart. And so did our commitment to high-quality storytelling - a rarity for a free magazine.

Today, as Providence Monthly turns the big 2-0, we’re taking our boldest step yet. Our October issue debuts our new size with all glossy pages. Size still matters, so our new specialty size is still bigger than typical magazines. And with our slick new pages, our award-winning content finally gets the gorgeous treatment it deserves.

Providence Monthly is still free, but the continued support and loyalty of our amazing community is downright priceless. Go find us in your favorite local coffeeshop, wine store, boutique or restaurant each month. And come wish us a happy birthday at our big party on October 18. We’re almost legal, but that won’t stop us from raising a glass (or two) with you. Cheers!
