Your outfit is lovely. Tell us more.
This is a typical me outfit: the white dress is from my last travels to Italy; the blazer is an old style that we used to have at Shoppe Pioneer; the shoes I just traded with a friend; and the bag is from our secondary vintage store The Vault. My necklaces: A chunky tribal one is from Israel and the layering one is a random I had. There are lots of key pieces that make this outfit.
How do you pick accessories?
I love accessories and always have; I think it is the easiest way to change your wardrobe. I am a lover of a scarf, whether it is a big chunky printed one I acquired on my travels or a silk vintage one that I grabbed from The Vault. The only time I think there are too many accessories is when you do big earrings and a big statement necklace, only then it should be one or the other, then layer with rings, bangles and an awesome bag. An outfit should always have accessories – that is the outfit.
What inspires your style?
I am a visionary person with a creative spirit so most of my outfits are inspired by what I have seen and experienced within my travels, my career in NYC fashion and the people I have met. I am inspired by a feeling. Sometimes I am vintage, sometimes I am bohemian and sometimes I am New York.
How do you build a stylish wardrobe?
Push yourself, even if it’s just a little. Buy something that is a touch out of your comfort zone and add it into your own wardrobe and wear it. It will allow you to explore fashion’s endless possibilities. And yes, always have the classics - a black dress, a denim shirt, a cashmere sweater - but be willing to add print and liven up your essentials.
