1. The whiskey selection at New Havest Coffee

New Harvest has established a reputation both locally and nationally as a roaster of premium, sustainable coffee. But they're upping the ante with their first ever retail location: cocktails and a well-curated selection of small batch Irish whiskeys, bourbons, Scotches and more. After conquering one strong, brown beverage, they're moving on to anothere one.

2. The blowout bar at LuniacGlamour

What do you do when you need a quick dose of glam for your hair, but not a full cut and style? Head to a blowout bar, where they can turn any day into a great hair day. LuniacGlamour already does styling, in addition to local clothes and accessories, at their home in East Greenwich. Now they're in The Arcade, offering shopping and styling in the heart of the city.

3. The African art at Adirah Gallery

Adirah Gallery, which is named for the family of the owner's Kenyan grandmother, displays art and sculpture from all over Africa. As it grows, proceeds from the sale of gorgeous scultpures like these will help fund an orphanage near her hometown of Maragoli.

4. The hand restored furniture at That Guy Refinishing (and the fact that his wife works right across from him)

Guy Lemoine (aka That Guy) restores and refinishes furniture by hand, like the beautiful dining room set shown here. He also opened up shop right across the hall from his wife Kristen Marrah Lemoine, who co-owns LuniacGlamour. How adorable is that?

5. The British flair at Royal Male

Royal Male is Rhode Island's source for tweedy, rugged British style in Newport, selling brands like Barbour and Mackintosh. Now the urban dandy, who lives in a city with precious few menswear stores, can get the same high quality looks without crossing the bridge.

6. The opportunity to learn an ancient art at Arch Angels

Sure, there are countless places to get your eyebrows threaded in this salon-obsessed city. But Arch Angels isn't just an eyebrow threading studio, it's an academy. Not only will they help you "restore and reclaim your brows," they'll show you how to practice the art on others.

7. The turquoise jewelry at Southwest Passage

Southwest Passage has been the East Side's premier source of Native American jewerly for years, selling beautiful turquoise and silver from Navajo, Hope, Zuni and Pueblo craftspeople. Now you can get a bit of the Southwest right in the city center.

8. The gear at Dash Bicycle

The future tenants of The Arcade's micro-lofts are likely to forsake the trouble of owning a car in favor public transportation, services like Zipcar, and, of course, good old fashioned bikes. And when they need new gear or a tune-up, Dash Bicycle will be in the most convenient possible location: under the same roof.

9. The dressing room at Ntrendsic

Ntrendsic sells clothing and accessories with a trendy, rock n roll edge. If you pop into the dressing room, you'll find their logo is printed backwards on the wall, so that it reads properly when you look in the mirror. While we admit that it doesn't really serve a purpose, we just think it's kind of cool.

10. The local style at Nude

For several years now, local designers like Jess Abernethy, Kent Stetson and Jonathan Joseph Peters have been building their brands on the runways at StyleWeek. Now they've combined forces with three other emerging local labels (Yellow Clover, Susan Troy and Amy Stetkiewicz) to create Nude, a boutique that will let them flaunt their wares all year round.

11. Aggie at Jessica Jewelry Ricci

Jewelry designer Jessica Ricci is obsessed with her little dog Aggie, and it's easy to see why. In her new digs at The Arcade, Aggie's even got her own custom made area to lounge. Stop in to say hi, and if you become obsessed with her too, you can even get a t-shirt with Aggie's face on it.
