The Pizza Gourmet Turns 10

The Pizza Gourmet celebrated its ten-year anniversary on July 24, and can reflect on a decade of massive growth. Beginning as just a single shop on Hope and Olney, demand for their wood-grilled pizza shells led to a partnership with wholesaler Jack Parente, and ultimately nationwide retail partnerships such as with Whole Foods. Central to continuing growth is their new production plant in Rhode Island, slated to churn out half a million hand-stretched pizza shells a week. They are also looking forward to launching the G-Truck, their first food truck, as well as a concession stand at the Ryan Center and a partnership with Fort Adams in Newport. 357 Hope Street, Providence. 751-0355
