December 8: The Newport Skating Center reopens for the season with a tree lighting, caroling and an appearance by Santa and his elves.

December 8: Connect with The Ghosts of Christmas Passed when Amy Bruni and Adam Berry, stars of TLC’s Kindred Spirits, hold a paranormal investigation of the Newport Opera House with psychic Chip Coffey. The event is a fundraiser for the Opera and includes dinner at Perro Salado. 

December 8 and 10: Linden Place in Bristol will hosts Michael DiMucci for two Fireside Christmas Concerts in their fully decked halls this weekend.

December 8-10: Finish up your Christmas shopping at the Newport Holiday Stroll, and be sure to catch all of the holiday festivities and delicious food.

December 9: If you need to put in a good word with the big man, here’s your chance. The North Kingstown Chamber hosts their annual Breakfast with Santa, when they transform North Kingstown High School into a winter wonderland.

December 9: Start Making Sense, the Talking Heads tribute band, returns to The Met in Pawtucket to faithfully recreate the music of one of the most iconic and visionary bands of the ‘80s.

December 9-10: Art Providence Holiday Show is setting up shop at the Rhode Island Convention Center, and will feature nearly 200 local and national artists selling their one-of-a-kind wares, in mediums like fine art, furniture, jewelry and ceramics.

December 10: The Providence Flea Holiday Market has moved inside to Hope High School, bringing together vintage vendors, artisans and creative makers for a unique shopping event.
