Fiesta In Downcity For Cinco De Mayo

Tacos, tinctures and tunes spice up InDownCity's block party

Posted

This year’s Cinco De Mayo will have Downcity crawling with celebrators from Dorrance to Matthewson during the InDowncity Cinco de Mayo Block Party on May 2.

Crowds can expect to dance along to live, Latin-inspired music throughout the daywhich is sure to work up a few appetites. Luckily there will be no shortage of gourmet tacos on hand from vendors like Poco Loco, Tallulah’s and Mijos, not to mention other treats from Ellie’s Bakery, Like No Udder and dishes from the newly opened Red Fin Crudo and Kitchen.

Trinity Brewhouse will also be on scene with seasonally-appropriate spirits; that is sangrias and margaritas to help cool you off. Other events will include the Providence Rock and Roll Yard Sale, which will feature over twenty vendors with a selection of vintage records, books and handmade jewelry and crafts, and a variety of kid-friendly activities to entertain young party-goers. And fret not, the pinata-smashing will be open to entrants of all ages.
