Imagine stepping into a world where pumpkins turn into carriages and mice become horses. This May, Ballet RI invites you to witness this beloved tale firsthand with their world premiere of Cinderella, choreographed by the acclaimed Yury Yanowsky. This enchanting ballet combines the whimsy of magic with the elegance of dance, delighting both young audiences and the young at heart.

Kathleen Breen Combes, director of Ballet RI, expresses her enthusiasm for this season-closing spectacle. "I am delighted to close our season with the unveiling of a world premiere of this treasured family-friendly ballet," says Combes. Innovative choreography, dazzling sets, and costumes are complemented by Sergei Prokofiev’s whimsical score. The production aims to captivate with its fresh and compelling approach to a beloved story.

The upcoming ballet is notable not only for its artistic innovation but also for being Ballet RI's first fully staged non-holiday production at The VETS since 2020.
