A special behind-the-scenes tour of the Lippitt House Museum, built for Rhode Island Governor Henry Lippitt, offers visitors a chance to hear the lesser known stories of servants living and working in the house. An exclusive tour shows how the ‘other half’ lived in this Victorian-era mansion and paints a fuller picture of what daily life was like for servants. Guests visit staff work spaces and see evidence of the 1865 state-of-the-art mechanical systems which made life comfortable for the Lippitt family. The tour goes behind the scenes to areas not usually visited.
Space is limited. Advance purchase ends November 16.
