Cultured Cuisine
When you walk down the waterfront path towards the DeWolf Tavern, you instantly know you’re in for a special experience. Located within a few steps of picturesque Bristol Harbor and Independence Park, the restaurant juxtaposes award-winning contemporary American cuisine with a historical setting. Housed in a 200-year-old warehouse built by the infamous DeWolf family of Bristol, the site was completely restored for the restaurant opening in 2004. Amber hues, wooden beams and exposed original stone walls welcome you as you enter the spacious, rustic restaurant. Two floors of dining rooms and bars, along with a relaxing dockside patio, offer an inviting gourmet and cultural experience like no other.

Chef Sai Viswanath, an internationally trained master chef, is at the helm of the kitchen that creatively combines the art of slow cooking with the high heat of a tandoor oven. Chicken, lamb and seafood are expertly cooked for a long time over low temperature, infusing modern flavors that are intensified when finished off in the tandoor, a primitive cooking method that can reach up to 900 degrees. The results are always succulent and tender, abounding in intense natural flavors. The innovative cuisine has been acclaimed both regionally and nationally, with praises in Esquire Magazine and Conde Nast Traveler. Chef Sai was also a 2012 semifinalist for the prestigious James Beard Best Chef in the Northeast award.

Extraordinary Events
DeWolf Tavern hosts a series of ongoing culinary events, such as wine dinners, salsa lessons and fundraisers like the annual Bristol Oyster Festival that benefits the March of Dimes. Private event space, including the outstanding waterfront tent, provides an exceptional venue for weddings, office meetings and more.  A sensory experience complete with striking sunsets over the harbor, the DeWolf Tavern is a Rhode Island treasure.

Celebrate Seasons: DeWolf makes every season memorable, from cozy winter dinners by the upstairs fireplace to fruit-infused sangrias served on the al fresco patio. Boaters can dock and dine for a unique boat to table experience.

Every Night is Special: Mondays bring $1 oysters at the bar starting at noon; live entertainment starts around 7:30pm on Wednesdays;  a 3 course prix fixe for $22 is available Monday-Thursday starting at 4:30; and Sundays offers a 3 course prix fixe for $32 starting at 4:30.
