Newport has a long history of live music. It is also a place where many members of the Navy Band retire. Many musicians teach in the public schools. You will see them on stage and in the audience Thursdays at Norey's Jazz Night. Their participation elevates the Jazz at Norey's to World Class Every Thursday.
