Join the South Kingstown Land Trust on Sunday, Sept. 16, from 3-5 p.m. at the SKLT Sculpture Trail for their Annual Hot Dog Roast, a family friendly event that is part of R.I. Land Trust Days! One of the featured art installations, “Sir Loin Barbecue Bull,” will be fired up for the first time to grill hot dogs and vegetarian options. You can wash your hot dog and other delicious homemade side-dishes down with a cold beer, courtesy of Whalers Brewing Company.
SKLT’s sculpture trail occupies about three upland acres of an otherwise wet and forested 22 acres of protected land. The easy-to-walk trail includes 23 art installations by local artists. The event celebrates the trail and artwork that has been recently refreshed, restored or replaced.
Reservations required. All age tickets are $5 for members, $10 for non-members and are available at http://sklt.org/event-tickets/annual-hot-dog-roast/. (Ticket purchases for non-members can be applied to new memberships!) Directions available at http://sklt.org/land-we-protect/trail-maps/
In the case of inclement weather, please check sklt.org and our social media pages for event updates.
