A Providence Studio Built for More Than One Look

Jen Korman and Kyla Delfino bring KYELLA’s bold, expressive point of view to a flexible new content space in Olneyville

There comes a point when another coffee shop corner, borrowed office, or blank white wall just isn’t cutting it. For anyone launching a brand, updating a portfolio, planning a campaign, or finally bringing a long-simmering idea to life, the backdrop can matter almost as much as what’s in front of the lens.

That’s the gap Jen Korman and Kyla Delfino, co-founders of KYELLA, set out to fill with Unfiltered Studios, a new photo and content studio tucked inside the brand’s headquarters in a historic Olneyville mill. Instead of building the space around one signature aesthetic, they designed it to shift with the people using it, giving photographers, entrepreneurs, content creators, and creative teams the freedom to create multiple looks without leaving the room.

Original hardwood floors and oversized mill windows preserve the building’s character, while clean architectural lines, seamless backdrops, and a movable, double-sided wall give the studio plenty of range. A session can move from bright and minimal to bold and editorial with a few quick changes, making it possible to leave with a gallery that feels like it came from several different locations.

That flexibility fits the way creative work happens now. A small business may need product photography, behind-the-scenes video, and lifestyle imagery in the same afternoon. A photographer may move from branding portraits to a fashion editorial without packing the car between setups. Furniture, props, and styling pieces can be rearranged as the shoot unfolds, allowing the concept to evolve along with it.

The studio’s collection includes chairs, mirrors, vintage telephones, decorative objects, and other unexpected details that can be layered into each setup. Some statement pieces are available as optional add-ons, while standard furniture and props come with the booking. A separate hair and makeup room, dressing area, and private bathroom with a shower give teams space to prepare, change looks, organize wardrobe, and reset between shots.

Each reservation also includes exclusive access to the private back studio, so the experience feels less like borrowing a corner of someone else’s workspace and more like settling into a creative headquarters of your own.

For Korman and Delfino, Unfiltered Studios carries the same attitude as KYELLA itself. The fashion and lifestyle brand leans into individuality, bold personal style, humor, and a refusal to blend in. The studio follows that same lead. It doesn’t prescribe one finished look or ask every shoot to fit the same formula. It gives people the pieces, then leaves room for personality to take over.

That freedom gives Unfiltered a clearer identity than a traditional blank rental studio. One booking can feel polished, colorful, moody, minimal, playful, or a little unexpected, sometimes all in the same afternoon. The room provides the foundation, but the final look belongs to the people creating inside it.

With more Rhode Island photographers, brands, artists, and entrepreneurs building visual worlds of their own, Unfiltered Studios gives them another place to do it close to home. Sometimes the right location isn’t one that arrives fully finished. It’s one that can become whatever the next idea calls for. Unfiltered Studios is now accepting bookings for photo shoots, branding sessions, content creation, and other creative productions at its Olneyville location.
