If winter in Rhode Island has you craving something a little more spirited than dinner reservations and couch nights, Ellie’s and Gracie’s have an answer—and it comes with wine glasses, piping bags, and a healthy dose of curiosity. This season, the sister establishments in Providence lean fully into experiential dining, unveiling a winter–spring calendar designed to bring people together through food, drink, and culture.
Together, Ellie’s and Gracie’s continue to redefine what a night out in the Creative Capital can look like, blending education, entertainment, and hospitality into thoughtfully crafted events that feel indulgent without ever feeling intimidating.
“Our mission is to cultivate memorable moments that spark conversation beyond just meals,” says proprietor Ellen Gracyalny. “Whether you're mastering a new skill, savoring a unique spirit, or sharing laughter over tastings, our events are all about connection and creativity.”
Ellie’s keeps things hands-on and delightfully whimsical. Macaron-making workshops invite guests to pipe, decorate, and paint edible works of art, while cake decorating classes guide beginners and seasoned bakers alike through buttercream techniques and seasonal designs. Add live music every Friday and Saturday evening, plus dessert-forward experiences like Sucrée: Bee Mine for Valentine’s Day, and Ellie’s remains one of downtown Providence’s most charming places to linger. Below is a snapshot of upcoming events. For the most up-to-date details, visit Ellie’s and Gracie’s online event calendars.
