Winter in Providence calls for something warm, indulgent, and just a little bit celebratory. At Mill’s Tavern, Executive Chef Cara Mourning meets the moment with a seasonal menu designed to comfort, surprise, and satisfy.

Located at 101 North Main Street, the longtime College Hill favorite leans into the season with rich entrées, fresh seafood, steakhouse staples, and an expanded lineup of vegan dishes. Set inside the historic Pilgrim Mills Building, the restaurant’s rustic brick walls, polished wood, and glowing wood-burning oven create a space that feels both sophisticated and inviting.

“This menu is exactly what we need to get through the next stretch of winter,” said General Manager Lesley Hall. “Chef Cara’s bold style is reflected in each of these dishes, from our traditional items to those that are making their debut, promising a unique and exquisite experience for every guest.”

Guests can begin with raw bar selections like Oysters on the Half Shell with persimmon and Champagne vinegar mignonette or Local Littlenecks served with beef tallow crème fraîche and lemon bacon gremolata. Starters range from A5 Wagyu carpaccio to a cozy Parsnip and Apple Bisque, offering both indulgence and seasonal comfort.

The heart of the menu delivers on winter warmth. Highlights include Lobster Risotto with black garlic and roasted heirloom carrots, Bacon Wrapped Venison with kabocha squash purée and dark cherry demi, and Maple Mead Short Rib paired with Yukon gold garlic parmesan potatoes. For those craving a classic steakhouse experience, the wood grill features options like New Zealand Rack of Lamb and an impressive selection of Wagyu cuts.

Chef Mourning also expands Mill’s vegan offerings, introducing dishes such as Sweet Potato Gnocchi with king oyster mushrooms and Walnut and Cauliflower Bolognese. These additions ensure that plant-based diners enjoy the same depth of flavor and seasonal creativity found throughout the menu.
